As always, necessity is the mother of invention!

It all started in early 2000, when a team of scientists collaborating between India and USA had to exchange 3D models over the internet. The frustrations of sharing high file sizes over low bandwidths propelled them to develop the VIS technology. To be honest, we didn’t realize its full potential till we shared it with the outside world. The stream of ‘WOW’ responses, especially from the mobile industry, inspired us to found this organization.


We are funded by IDG Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm. Mr. Sudhir Sethi
represent IDG Ventures in 3DSoC's board. Today, the management team is a healthy mix of scientists and business experts.
