Benchmarking
Example 1 : Animated Bicycle
The 3D representation of a bicycle (with animation) occupies just 13 KB in VIS as compared to 32600 KB in ProE’s .asm format or 1700 KB in Google Sketchpad. The benchmark results with other formats are shown below:

Example 2 : Automobile Half-Shaft
A 3D model of an automobile half-shaft is used to illustrate the high levels of compression that can be achieved by VIS compression technology.

Half Shaft Model
The graph compares the file sizes of the half-shaft model in different file formats, including some leading CAD and bitmap formats.
The model in VIS format not only offers significant compression over popular CAD formats like DXF, DWG and STL, but also over JPG and GIF images of the model.
